At Ft Fisher, near Wilmington NC
Jim awoke feeling poorly, with a stomach bug that produced the usual GI symptoms. He spent most of the day sipping water and sleeping. In the morning we spent a lot of time finding someone who could take a technical look at the tankless heater, finding someone we could drive to the next day. We did take the bikes out for a spin in the afternoon, proving to Debbi that she needs to build some muscle. We walked most of the way back on that bike excursion. After sleeping a little, Jim was better, but relapsed and fell asleep. Deb kindly did laundry occasioned by the GI symptoms; only 75 cents each for the washer and dryer. Jim slept. |
Away for a shakedown cruise!
Got away at 1030, stopped for Chik-fil-A in Cary. Interesting drive to Wilmington and then Ft Fisher, getting our sea legs under us. Ft. Fisher is an open campground, nice cement pads, very few campers. Bathhouse and showers. We discovered that the tankless hot water heater in the coach would not ignite, so no hot water. Facebook technicians were no help. Deb cooked shrimp and we went to sleep.
New genealogy wiki
I’ve decided to move my burgeoning table of genealogy links into a wiki, which will make searching and organizing easier. In the next few days, I’ll move all the links to https://fh.creeksidefarm.org, where I’ll add new ones as I go. I’ll copy interesting information from my genealogy presentations there, too.
New CFO web site
Welcome to the new Creekside Farm web site! We’ve updated the back end of our home page to a WordPress engine, and hope to link to vacation galleries, hobbies and objects of interest.
